Sony Lets Fans Traverse World of Jumanji: The Next Level With Sonic Surf VR Experience at Sony Square NYC

In anticipation of the Dec. 13th U.S. theatrical release of Jumanji: The Next Level, Sony Square NYC will be inviting guests to enter the world of Jumanji enhanced by a unique Sonic Surf VR experience from Nov. 26 to Jan. 5, 2020. Sonic Surf VR combines audio processing with an advanced multi-channel speaker technology to create spatial, dynamic soundscapes.

Utilizing ‘immersive spatial audio,’ visitors will experience themed soundscapes, headphone free, as they trek through desert, jungle, and snow environments giving the realistic feeling that the sound is moving across, around or towards the listener. The audio is remarkably crisp, clear and lifelike thanks to the advanced multi-speaker array and powerful digital processing.

Open to the public, this exhibit will include an interactive running game played on Sony’s 26-foot Crystal LED screen, as guests move through the jungle portion of their exciting audio adventure and finish on a snowy mountain top.  Exclusive photo-ops, movie props, costumes and behind the scenes imagery from the film will also be on display.
