SVG Summit: How CBS Sports Delivered Every Shot, Every Hole at The Masters

CBS pulls back the curtain on the comprehensive project

In 2018, the team at Augusta National had the idea to create an Every Shot, Every Hole production, and they challenged CBS Sports to create the innovative system. In April, at the 2019 Masters, the vision became a reality when the groundbreaking system debuted, allowing the viewers at home, for the first time ever, to see every shot from every hole by every golfer.

At the 2019 SVG Summit, Brian Carr, founding partner, Thumbwar; Mike Francis, VP, remote engineering and planning, CBS Sports; and Patty Power, EVP, operations and engineering, CBS Sports, share an overview of the production efforts, how it came together, and how the future of major golf production may never be the same.
