Super Bowl LIV

Verizon Media Covers All Streaming Bases of Super Bowl LIV

Verizon Media’s video streaming platform is the primary streaming workflow and delivery vendor for Super Bowl LIV. It will power live streaming on Fox properties (Fox Sports app, Fox Now app, Foxsports.com, and Fox.com) and the Yahoo Sports mobile app, to bring Fox viewers the big game in dynamic UHD HDR for the first time ever.

Verizon Media’s video streaming platform and multi-CDN capabilities will be used by Fox to ensure traffic is routed to the most efficient delivery path no matter where the user is or the device its being watched on. Verizon Media’s video streaming platform and content delivery network ensures viewers don’t experience excessive latency or buffering so that fans don’t miss a minute of the action.

Super Bowl LIV is set to be the most-watched game on record, with viewers tuning it from all over the world to watch the San Francisco 49ers battle it out with the Kansas City Chiefs in the hope of lifting one of the biggest prizes in sport. The percentage of viewers streaming the big game instead of watching on linear television is increasing with Adtaxi predicting that 24% of the Super Bowl LIV audience will come from OTT distribution.
