Tennis Channel Elevates Ross Schneiderman to Executive Producer, Vice President

Tennis Channel has promoted Ross Schneiderman to full-time executive producer, vice president, from the senior coordinating producer role he has held since 2013. Previously working on a part-time, remote-production basis, he continues to report to Bob Whyley, senior vice president of production and executive producer.

“Ross has been a principal member of our Tennis Channel family for years and the vision behind our coverage of the most important events in tennis,” said Whyley. “We’re excited that he’s agreed to join us full time and take the helm of our studio in L.A. in addition to his ongoing remote-production responsibilities. His wisdom in piloting a team of accomplished on-air and behind-the-camera talent through the course of a sports-championship event is second to none, and all while threading different narratives into a building storyline.”

Schneiderman first started working with Tennis Channel in 2012 during the network’s coverage at select tennis majors. For the past six years, he has overseen remote production at all four of these prestigious events – the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open – in addition to other tournaments throughout the year. His role has grown to include production of the network’s on-site, extensive coverage at events in Indian Wells, CA; Miami, Charleston, SC; Washington, D.C.; and Cincinnati. As executive producer, Schneiderman guides production in Tennis Channel’s Los Angeles-area studio as well as remote tournament coverage.

“Ross has seamlessly transitioned into his larger role and pushed the Tennis Channel production and on-air teams to greater heights,” said Tennis Channel analyst Jim Courier, a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. “It is a fantastic time to be at Tennis Channel with (network President Ken Solomon), Bob, and Ross leading us into a very promising future.”

Schneiderman has won nine Emmy Awards during more than three decades in television production. In that time he has worked in almost every major sport or event, including the Super Bowl, Summer Olympics, PGA’s The Masters and MLB, in addition to NBA and NCAA basketball. Schneiderman was a producer at CBS Sports before Tennis Channel, and saw to NFL football, NCAA basketball and the NBA playoffs for Turner Sports. Before CBS he worked with NBC Sports for 15 years.
