SVG SportsTech On Demand: Primeview’s Chanan Averbuch on the Role of LED Displays in the Collegiate Space

In an effort to keep the broadcast-technology community informed this spring, throughout April, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors discussing their latest product releases and company news. Our Kristian Hernandez spoke with Chanan Averbuch, EVP of the Americas, Primeview, about the company’s recent plans.

Video boards and signage technology are now allowing collegiate athletic programs to recruit and retail top-student athletes. From $50 million to $270 million facilities, the company is entering a new era of programming with areas for recruiting and prospect hosting. With the help of specialized architects, sports consultants and engineering firms, the athletic centers of the future now include auditoriums with dramatic views of stadiums, grand lobbies that showcase the school’s sports history, strength and conditioning complexes that point to the next level future, outdoor sitting areas and balconies that  overlooking practice fields, recruiting lounges, expansive team locker rooms that have sports bar vibes, players’ lounges that may include the extremes of a private bowling alley to a barber shop, rooftop terraces featuring outdoor kitchen and recreational activities, including miniature golf, and NFL alumni locker rooms.
