SVG SportsTech On Demand: IBM Systems' Peter Guglielmino the Importance of Data Governance

Our Jason Dachman sat down with Peter Guglielmino, CTO, IBM Media & Entertainment, about the company’s efforts.
IBM storage provides solutions that span the cloud to the data center, tailored for sports video and the broader media and entertainment industry. This includes a new generation of high-performance storage solutions for large capacity media files, capacity optimized object storage, in addition to low-cost and highly secure cold storage solutions. Guglielmino also addresses the importance of data governance and IBM’s work on ODPi Egeria – an open source project dedicated to making metadata open and automatically exchanged between tools and data platforms, no matter which vendor they come from.
