ASBN, Facebook Partner to Live Stream High School Football Games on Facebook’s Watch Platform

The ASBN, a broadcast media services organization dedicated to sports and events, is partnering with Facebook to deliver 17 top high school football games to fans on Watch, Facebook’s new platform for shows. These live games will feature teams from across the country and air exclusively on Facebook.

The 17-game package features some of the top high school football programs in the country. The action kicks off Friday, Sept. 29, as Northern California powerhouse De La Salle (Concord, CA) hosts Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, CA) at 10:00 p.m. ET. Other teams that will be featured include Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL). These games will be available on Facebook’s new Watch platform. Fans can add them to their watchlist by following the ASBN: Varsity Gridiron Edition Show Page.

These high school football broadcasts will be tailored to take advantage of the social nature of Facebook. For example, each one will have interactive elements such as live curated chats. A social production team and correspondents will be present at each game and work to interact with the Facebook audience.
