MLB.com Offers First-Ever Live Video Webcast of Home Run Derby

For the first time ever, MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, is offering fans a free, live video webcast of July 10 s Home Run Derby, taking place at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Century 21 Home Run Derby, which pits eight Major League All-Star players against each other in an elimination contest to determine who can hit the most home runs, is one of several events leading up to the annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game. This year s game will be played on Tuesday, July 11.

We are pleased to join with ESPN to provide offline/online integration of this exciting event, said Dinn Mann, executive vice president of content for MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball.

In addition to the live stream on MLB.com and ESPN.com, the Home Run Derby, part of the Gatorade All-Star Workout Day, will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10.
