Sprint Revamps NFL Mobile Service with Fantasy Tracker

Just in time for pre-season training camps, Sprint has revamped its NFL Mobile service, adding a free fantasy tracker. Sprint s 24 million customers with the ability to order the NFL Mobile service will have access to the tracker beginning July 26.
“We took last year’s version of (NFL Mobile), scrapped it and rebuilt it from the ground up,” said Steve Gaffney, director of sports marketing for Sprint.
The biggest change to the service is the implementation of a fantasy tracker. Football fans can now program their fantasy teams directly into their mobile phones, and choose to receive a text message every time one of their players scores. Users can also create red zone alerts that will automatically send a text message when their team crosses the opponent s 20-yard line.
Another new feature of the Sprint service is the elimination of the customary half day-long wait to receive game highlights. Whereas fans last season were forced to wait until at least midnight on Sunday, if not Monday morning, to watch video highlights on their phones, Sprint is now giving football fanatics access to video highlights within 30 minutes of the final whistle blow of all NFL games, with the exception of Monday Night Football match-ups.
