High Schoolers land Daktronics scoreboard

Sharyland Independent School District (ISD) recently chose Daktronics to provide an integrated scoring, video and advertising display system for Rattler Stadium, home of Rattler football, soccer and track.

The new state-of-the-art system will include an All Sport light emitting diode (LED) football scoreboard enhanced with a large ProStar VideoPlus display and a Sportsound sound system. Measuring approximately 46 feet high by 34 feet wide, this unique scoreboard will provide fans with high quality video, scores and stats, and high fidelity sound.

“The new video display, scoreboard and sound system will add pride to our new track and football turf,” said Richard Thompson, Athletic Director for Sharyland ISD. “Daktronics has a good reputation and was able to meet all our needs. We are looking forward to the ability to advertise and inform patrons more easily with this new system.”

Measuring approximately 13 feet high by 17 feet wide, the ProStar VideoPlus display, HD-ready and available only from Daktronics, uses the latest in red, green and blue (RGB) LED technology to present live and recorded video images, colorful animation and vivid graphics with incredible brightness and wide-angle visibility. ProStar technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.

The All Sport custom LED football scoreboard displays Home and Guest scores, TOL (time outs left), Down, To Go, Ball On and QTR. (quarter) using LED technology for excellent viewing during both day and night. In addition, this scoreboard will feature team name message centers that allow customization of home and guest team names for each individual game.

Sportsound 1000 series systems ensure excellent sound projection, clear and intelligible speech and a powerful audio experience. The Sportsound cabinet will be integrated into the custom design of Sharyland ISD scoreboard. This system will provide a strong impact from day one and continue through years of maintenance-free performance.

The powerful and versatile Venus 7000 controller and the V-Link 4000 video processor provide the power and flexibility to bring ProStar technology to life. This control system provides the capabilities to show graphics, live and recorded video and real-time information, bringing ProStar technology to life.
