DNF Controls Announces New Sequence Playout Option

At IBC2006, DNF Controls unveils its new Sequence Playout option for its 2044CL Clip Instant Access System. Designed for the fast-paced broadcast and production environments, the Sequence Playout option makes the 2044CL even more powerful, giving users easy-to-use, precise, reliable, and repeatable control over a video server by loading and playing an entire sequence of clips at the touch of a button.

“Now operators can load and play a single clip, a fill and key multiclip
combination, as well as a sequence of clips,” said DNF President Dan Fogel. “Users can play out a sequence of up to 20 clips on one channel or across up to eight channels. The Sequence Playout option supports up to 30 sequence lists, so users can quickly and easily build, edit, and save
sequences for later recall.”

Comprising DNF’s ST400 Controller and ST420 Shotbox, the 2044CL Clip
Instant Access System gives the user 30 powerful buttons, on the Shotbox, to instantly access up to 300 single clips or multiple-clip combinations.

The Shotbox buttons give the user the power to merge prerecorded material with live production, harness the power of monitor walls and other display systems, and load and play news segments, graphics, animations, highlights, and promos. The 2044CL controls up to eight individually or ganged channels and allows users to read the name of the video clip directly on the Shotbox key, as well as assign and re-assign clips to the Shotbox key quickly andeasily. A capture feature allows ingest of clips from a source VTR into the video server.
