Miranda expands Densite module line
Story Highlights
Miranda continues to add more power to its Densit HD/SD interface module series, adding routing and change-over capabilities.
Topping the list is the Densit Series HRS-1801, an expandable 10×4 routing switcher designed for HD and SD as well as compressed domain signals such as ASI or SSI/SMPTE-310M. The 10 inputs can be easily expanded up to 40 inputs by increments of 10, providing 20×4, 30×4 and 40×4 routing configurations. Miranda says it can take as few as 2RU in the Densit frame and is available in non-reclock, reclock and clean/silent switching configurations, making it ideal for multi-port monitoring and master control back-up applications.
The Densit Series HCO-1821 is a 2×1 HD/SD/ASI change-over which offers a clean and silent switching capability and is operated by an electronic switch that is backed up by a latching relay in the event of power failure. The change-over supports 16 channels of embedded audio and Metadata, and also provides streaming video and audio level metering to improve remote monitoring.
Lastly, the HCO-1821 features two source inputs and two outputs: program and preview. Changeovers can be performed manually or by automation, with the switching driven by signal analysis, alarm parameters, and the status of the inputs.
