Tektronix intros WVR7000 HD Rasterizer

Tektronix has introduced the WVR7000, a basic $7,000 HD Rasterizer with capabilities for SD and
composite video monitoring plus monitoring of AES-EBU and analog audio
that will provide a cost-effective solution for basic monitoring
needs.
The company says its ideal for confidence monitoring (Quality Verification and Control) and artistic monitoring (Content Processing) applications. It is particularly suitable for the edit suite, where the main objective is to assure the production of materials compliant with video and audio quality requirements.
The WVR7000 architecture also allows a customer to buy only those options needed today with configurations that meet budgetary requirements. It supports HD monitoring applications with options to add SD and/or Composite Analog Video monitoring capabilities. Available audio options offer support for monitoring digital audio (embedded or AES/EBU inputs) and analog audio. Flexible upgrade kits allow supplemental capabilities to be added in the field after the initial purchase if required.
Other features include:
-See and Solve with Tektronix exclusive Diamond, Split Diamond, Arrowhead and Timing displays to quickly ensure signal compliance.
-WVR7000 Series unique passive loopthrough is indispensable to assure transparent monitoring throughout the entire signal path without introducing distortion.
-An error log capacity of 10,000, the largest in a video monitor.
-Control of an unlimited number of WVR instruments from a single windows computer via an Ethernet network. Other options are direct IP connection (does not require an existing network) or remote front panel.
-With FlexVu users can select almost any combination of monitoring displays to best suit your specific work practices.
-Extensive alarm detection, video quality statistics, status reporting and error logging of WVR7100 and WVR6100 are also standard capabilities of WVR7000.
