Total Nonstop Action Wrestling goes Mobile

The professional wrestling landscape will drastically change this upcoming March when Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling debuts on mobile carriers thanks to an exclusive content deal with New Motion, Inc., a digital entertainment company. The deal gives the power of New Motion to develop and promote TNA content, including wrestling match alerts, blogs written by the wrestlers, exclusive wallpapers, and ringtones of their favorite wrestler’s theme songs. TNA Mobile is available thru all major providers like Verizon, Cingular and T-Mobile.

“Our partnership with TNA, allows users to connect directly with the TNA Wrestlers,” said Shane Maidy New Motion SR VP of Content and Marketing. “You can find out what they are doing on a weekly basis.”

The behind-the-scenes info will be integrated within their weekly TV show

TNA Impact. “You will be a part of the whole TNA experience,” said Maidy. TNA will have an increased web presence, and offer promotions, fan clubs. Two ways to sign up for the mobile fan club are to go online and enter phone number or access the TNA WAP site.

For $9.99 a month subscribers will have full access to TNA’s young and exciting roster of the six sided ring. They include homegrown stars such as Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Abyss, and America’s Most Wanted. They have their divas the TNA Knockouts, legends like Sting and Jeff Jarrett, and former WWE superstars Kurt Angle, Rhino, Raven, Team 3D and current NWA TNA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage.

In the spirit of shows like

Deal or no Deal and

American idol, where fans vote to earn money or pick the briefcase you think has the $10,000 dollars in it, TNA fans will be able to actually help decide and dictate storylines. “You can decide which wrestlers you would like to see wrestle against each other, and predict who do you think is going to win a fight,” said Maidy. There will be live fan voting during TNA PPV events and TV broadcasts.

“We are working hand and glove with TNA to further enhance the TNA experience by bringing it to a portability basis.”

TNA is in direct competition with wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He believes they are very different. “Competition helps grow business,” said Maidy.
