Telecast names Bill Hollis Midwest regional sales manager

Telecast Fiber Systems today announced the appointment of Bill Hollis as Midwest regional sales manager. Hollis, who has more than 20 years of experience in the video and broadcast industry, will also be product manager for Telecast’s Viper II™ modular product line. In this new role, he will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer and partner relationships in the Midwest, and also for expanding the company’s presence in that territory.

“Bill’s substantial experience within the broadcast industry has touched on many areas of studio production and engineering, technical and field support, manufacturing, and product development and management,” said Richard Cerny, president of Telecast Fiber Systems. “His broad knowledge of the industry will have a positive impact on Midwest sales and our relationships with clients in the region.”

Prior to joining Telecast, Hollis was product manager for Stratos International, a manufacturer of fiber optic components. Bill’s extensive broadcast background includes serving as senior studio engineer for Harpo Studios, home to “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” He was previously with Television Associates in California; worked as a freelance engineer; and served as studio manager, production technician, and mobile services engineer in a variety of commercial and industrial productions.

Hollis will be based in Chicago.
