QuStream to Showcase Expanded Range of Products at NAB2007

products at NAB2007 that address
its unique ability to overcome a wide range of infrastructure obstacles.

an extensive range of integrated technologies incorporated in the high-density PESA routing switchers and the unrivaled quality of patented signal processing offered in FortelDTV products, including:

PESA Cheetah High-Density Multi-Rate Routing

QuStream breaks several high-density barriers with the Cheetah large router series.
The Cheetah 864 Multi-Rate Video Router 864×864 is compressed into only 41 rack units and provides both high-definition and SDI on either copper or fiber in the same reliable frame. The Cheetah 864 offers internal redundant power, redundant frame and system controllers, and external full-size BNC connectors.

Building on the success of the Cheetah 512XR in 27RU, QuStream now packs 576×576 in that same
27RU with the
Cheetah 576XR. This router features standard Cheetah input cards, output cards, fiber cards, matrix cards, frame controllers, system controllers and power supplies internal to the frame.

In a concept that follows QuStream s 64XE and 128XE frame designs, which offer a large number of outputs to handle large monitor walls for broadcast and mobile applications, or applications that feed a large number of devices concurrently, QuStream introduces the
Cheetah 288×288 and 288×576 in only
18RU. These Cheetah routers use standard size BNC connectors, internal redundant power, redundant frame and system controllers, and have the ability to mix copper, fiber and CWDM fiber all in the same frame.

PESA Cheetah V5

QuStream introduces a new version of the Cheetah V5 module that allows a smaller footprint by using fiber when routing DVI, VGA, or RGBHV over long distances without requiring signal boosters or massive amounts of cable.

PESA Cheetah I/O Conversion Cards

QuStream introduces an
A to D / Frame Sync Input Conversion Card for the Cheetah video routing switcher which converts analog NTSC/PAL to SDI at the input to extend the life of that analog gear. Cheetah HD to SD Downconversion / Aspect Ratio Conversion Output Cards are now available in a single-card version which maximizes the output structure of the router.

PESA Distributed Routing Switcher (DRS)

Building on last year s award-winning design, the new Cheetah DRS 64×64
offers
all AES /
all analog /
all timecode or mix with
64 AES or analog inputs by
64 analog or AES outputs allowing a much smaller package when our 128 incremented Cheetah DRS 128×128 to 2048×2048 series is too large. This new 64×64 frame can be mixed with our 128×128 frames in a system to offer new sizes such as 192×192 using the 128×128 frames and the 64×64 frame. New features include Dolby-E routing, soft switching and delay functionality in both the input and output frames of the DRS providing a unique place to correct audio timing issues. An incoming frame-synced video signal can now be delayed coming into the router so that it always stays in lip sync. Likewise, when monitoring video from a multi-viewer, processing delay in the video can be matched with audio output delay making it easier to edit or switch live programming.

603 Distribution/Signal Processing Frame

QuStream introduces the 603 Distribution/Signal Processing Frame in 3RU with 20-slots, redundant internal power supplies, frame controller cards and cooling fans. This new frame utilizes our patented Fortel technology which creates a very powerful and flexible platform to house our newest cards including the DVA-615 HD/SDI multi-rate distribution amplifier, DDA-600 downconverting monitoring distribution amplifier and DAA-635 AES audio distribution amplifier.
