Zandar Enhances Predator HD Series line-up with Dual HD functionality

Zandar Technologies have enhanced their
Predator Series of MultiViewers by now offering Dual HD output functionality,
whereby a single MultiViewer can drive one or two displays at native HD
resolution. Zandar has also advanced their UMD and tally processing,
fonts, alarming and Z-Controller operation. All these superior features
will be showcased on the Zandar stand at the NAB 2007 show to the

USA and
International broadcast and production community.

The Dual HD at 50Hz and 60Hz enhancement applies to the Predator HD4,
HD8, HD12 and HD16. Each unit combines a mixture of SD and HD signals,
including 720p and 1080i, offering unprecedented image quality, operational
flexibility and space saving benefits. With a superb high resolution
output on DVI, another major benefit is the cost effectiveness over the use of
HD monitors.

Deirdre Smith, CEO at Zandar Technologies states: “We’ve now enhanced
our Predator HD range making them even more effective and versatile for
broadcast monitoring and professional video applications. So far our

Predator
Range has made a tremendous impact in
the outside broadcast market as well as production studios where space is prime
real-estate.”

Dual HD is not the only enhancement to the series. UMD and Tally
functionality has been improved whereby tally display can be indicated by
border color changes. Static and dynamic UMD display is also
provided. Improved GPI features include automatic user triggers for
full-screen and layout changes. The alarming function has also been
enhanced with the addition of border color changes once an alarm is
activated.

Multi-system configuration and control is made easy with significant
enhancements to the Z-Configurator software user interface, and the new Z-Controller software.
Systems can be combined into walls with various presets or scenarios.
Z-Controller gives immediate operator control of the wall for scenario changes
whether scheduled or on alarm activation, and provides visual indication of
fault conditions and an alarm logging tool.

The Predator HD MultiViewer has taken the global outside broadcast
community by storm. Since 2005, Predator MultiViewers have been deployed
in trucks for tpc,
Switzerland’s
largest TV production company; for SBP Italy, a large OB production and post
production company who specialize in major events and sports coverage; and for
Arqiva in the

UK,
among others. Arqiva, a leading provider of transmission services for
broadcasters, favors Predator HD8 MultiViewers for use on HD content provision
for Championship Football for Sky Sports and Sky HD.

Now gaining a foothold in
the
US remote production
market, the Zandar Predator HD8 MultiViewer is used in the new HD capable 53’
mobile truck for

New Orleans
based Yes Productions.
In a system designed and
integrated by Beck Associates, Yes Productions shall proudly show their
new truck at NAB in

Las Vegas.
More information can be found at www.yesproductions.com. Meanwhile the Predator
HD12 MultiViewer is being used in a HD Flypack System for Worldwide Satellite
Communications. The Flypack is used for compact, convenient, flexible
programme production intended for medical audiences and as an educational
tool.

The full range of Zandar Predator, FusionPro+
and DX Series MultiViewers are on view on Zandar’s booth #SU2729 at NAB 2007

Vegas.
