Ikegami’s NAB 2007 include HD cameras, base station

Ikegami
Electronics (U.S.A.), Inc., will display a wide range of
new products at the 2007 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) exhibition,
in

Las Vegas.

Ikegami’s
new NAB 2007 products include one-piece compact servo-filter HD cameras, new
tapeless HD field recorders, a holographic video-archiving system, a new
compact aerial HD camera, and improved angle of view LCD monitors. In addition
to these new products, Ikegami will also show two new HD and multi-standard
studio and portable companion cameras and a new camera-control unit and base
station.

Ikegami’s
new HDK-790 EX III
Full Digital HDTV studio camera system
and its portable companion, the HDK-79
EX III employ advanced full-digital process ASIC’s (Application-Specific
Integrated Circuits) and 14-bit A/D conversion for exceptional rendition of
color gradation (even in dark-tone areas of the video picture). These native
1080i cameras also employ three new 2/3-inch AIT CCD image sensors with 60 dB
signal-to-noise performance in high definition for superb picture quality and
an excellent vertical smear characteristic. The HDK-790 EX III and HDK-79 EX III
are
designed
as
simulcast broadcasting cameras, meeting the requirements of both HDTV and SDTV.

Also new
from Ikegami at NAB 2007 are the model HDK-727 and HDK-727P native 720/60P
Full
Digital HDTV
studio
and portable companion
cameras
. Utilizing Ikegami’s advanced full-digital process
ASIC’s, both cameras feature 14-bit A/D conversion for a range of sophisticated
digital image-enhancement features. Further contributing to the superb picture
performance of the Ikegami HDK-727 and HDK-727P native 720/60P
Full
Digital HDTV
studio
and portable companion
cameras are their CCD image sensors, which feature
an additional 2 dB more S/N than previous models. The portable
HDK-727P camera offers additional
performance advantages for ease of use and convenience thanks to its improved
smaller, lighter, lower-power-consumption design.

In
addition to new HD and
multi-standard cameras,
Ikegami will also introduce a new Camera-Control Unit (CCU) and Base Station
designed for use with its acclaimed HDK-79EC multi-format full-digital HDTV
camera system, which employs leading-edge CMOS image-sensor technology. The new
CCU-890 offers integrated network control with no need for an adapter or “hub”
on the CCU side. The CCU-890 also offers the option of an integrated triax system,
without the need for an external 1-RU triax adapter at the CCU side. In
addition, the CCU-890 includes optional integrated dual-link support for
1080/60p as well as slow-motion formats, including 720/120p, and 1080/120i.

Ikegami’s
new half-rack base station, the model BS-89, shares much of its circuitry in
common with the CCU-890 without, however, the optional triax and dual link that
requires the full size unit. Additional features, such as the integrated
network control, are part of this base station as well.

These and
other revolutionary new and established Ikegami products will be exhibited
throughout NAB 2007 at Booth No. C-4226 in the Central Hall of the

Las Vegas
Convention Center from April 16 to 19.
