Wegener will preview COMPEL II at NAB

Wegener
Corporation announced it will preview its COMPEL II Network Control System at
the National Association of Broadcasters 2007 Convention (Booth
#SU7915). The 4th generation system retains all patented
features of WEGENER’s industry-leading COMPEL Network Control system while
adding new functionality to enhance the user experience. The result is a
flexible, open architecture system that provides simplified operations for
dynamic media distribution to multiple locations for content providers, private
network operators, and TV and radio broadcasters among other professionals.

“The
COMPEL brand of point-to-multipoint network control has always emphasized flexibility
from a high level point of view,” said

Ned
L.
Mountain, President of WEGENER.
“COMPEL II advances beyond its previous forms while ensuring that operators
retain the dependable platform to control the operations of their video, audio
and data applications. We have focused in several areas to improve
network operations, such as multi-user access, interoperability with other
network equipment and simplifying key operational tasks.”

Built
upon an open architecture operating system, Compel II offers SQL database
access to all internal functions and easy integration with network traffic and
automation systems. Compel II is highly modular in design, providing
extensive scaling and tailoring to fit the needs of specific networks.
The web based user interface allows multiple, individually permissioned
operators to simultaneously take control of their individual responsibilities
for network operations.

WEGENER’s
COMPEL network control system has integrated control for video, audio &
data to Satellite, Internet and WAN locations, offering targeted regional
content delivery, content playout control, and blackouts/embargos enforcement
for multi-site networks.
