Miranda launches HD/SD Imagestore
Story Highlights
Miranda Technologies has launched the Imagestore 750 processor at NAB, which offers HD/SD master control switching plus multi-level channel branding graphics using four keying layers.
The 1RU Imagestore 750 operates fully in SD or HD environments, with easy selection between SD or HD at 1080i or 720p at 50 or 59.94Hz.
The processor offers AB video mixing plus a single or dual channel DVEs for squeeze-and-reveal and picture-in-picture effects. Four group (16 channel) digital audio mixing can be performed using embedded audio and 8 AES pairs for 5.1 and multi-lingual audio. Up to 8 channels of audio storage and playout are available for automated voiceovers and audio zingers.
Imagestore 750’s four independent keying layers are ideal for multi-level HD/SD graphics insertion, using internal animation/still storage with capacity for more than 4000 images. The processor provides independent preview, clean feed and auxiliary outputs.
Graphics options for the Imagestore 750 include the Easytext template-based, automated character generator for data-driven graphics, such as ‘Coming up next’ graphics. There is also built in support for Emergency Alert System (EAS) for playing out crawls and audio mix-ins, and in-vision digital/analog clock insertion.
Dual, external fill and key inputs allow operation with Miranda’s Imagestore Intuition+ graphics co-processor and Vertigo XG graphics processor for the most advanced graphics playout, as well as with a separate third party graphics/CG device.
Imagestore 750 offers full integration with the Xmedia Suite graphics workflow tools, and the PresStation master control switcher panel, for highly efficient operations. Automation control is provided by Serial and Ethernet interfaces, using the widely supported Oxtel protocol.
The robust processor features redundant hot swappable power supplies and a mechanical bypass of the program input.
