NBC TV stations tap Ross Video
Story Highlights
NBC Universal Television Stations
Division has selected the Ross Video OverDrive Integrated Live
Production Control System for high-definition news production. NBCU will
be rolling these systems out in several owned and operated NBC and
Telemundo stations.
OverDrive is a highly flexible and
scalable production control system with a real-time LiveLink(tm) MOS
interface to the newsroom editorial system. The extensive device control
capabilities of Ross Video standard definition and multi-definition
production switchers combined with OverDrive gives users the ability to
execute a more consistent, efficient, and sophisticated news
production.
“We are extremely
pleased NBC Universal Television Stations Division has selected
OverDrive as the integrated live production control system of choice,”
said Jeff Moore, President, Ross Video. “OverDrive is the premiere
solution for broadcasters looking to implement leading edge technology
to advance their production capabilities. OverDrive offers efficiency
and flexibility while delivering highly sophisticated and dynamic
productions.”
Ross Video will
introduce OverDrive version 5 software at NAB 2007. Version 5 offers
many new features including integration with CG MOS enabled devices,
control of Vinten robotics and Wheatstone audio mixers and support for
multiple networked OverDrive client systems. OverDrive’s client/server
architecture allows facilities to run no-break back-to-back shows,
monitor audio and edit rundowns remotely and control devices from
multiple locations.
