NHL Launches Stanley Cup Video Promotion, ‘Canada’s SuperFan,’

Onstream
Media Corporation, a online service provider of live and on- demand, digital
media communications and applications, and the National Hockey League (NHL)
will provide instant video uploading and delivery services as part of a new
user generated video promotion entitled, ”
Canada’s SuperFan,” sponsored
by Bud Light.
The NHL
employed part of Onstream Media’s Digital Media Services Platform (DMSP) which
provides a comprehensive suite of tools that automate the uploading,
transcoding, hosting and streaming of both user-generated video content as well
as professional video productions over the Internet.

DMSP automatically supports a wide variety of media player formats and end-user
devices and connection bandwidths to ensure a universal, high- quality digital
media experience

rich social media capabilities, like user-generated video submissions, is an
ideal way for the NHL and its sponsors to develop and extend their relationship

The
contest encourages Canadian residents to upload personal videos onto the NHL
Connect community site, located at http://fans.nhl.com/nhl connect/Canadas
Superfan, showing why they should be considered Canada’s most blatant NHL Super
Fan. The individual with the winning video entry will receive a trip for two,
accommodations, air travel and two tickets to attend Game 4 of the Stanley Cup
Finals.
You must
be 21 years of age or above and a resident of
Canada,
excluding
Quebec,
to enter the contest which is open now through May 22, 2007. Additional prizes
are awarded for 2nd and 3rd place contestants, along with weekly prize
