Telecast’s New Series 6000 Viper II Wins TV Technology STAR Award at NAB2007

Fiber Systems’ new Series 6000 Viper II fiber optic video and audio transport
system has been recognized with a 2007 STAR (Superior Technology Award
Recipient) Award, given by the editorial staff of TV Technology magazine at the
NAB2007 convention. The STAR Award, which celebrates and showcases the
preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry, was
selected by a panel of TV Technology editors and columnists who judged a
variety of products according to their technical applications and overall
contribution to the industry.

generation of Telecast’s well-known Viper II family, the Series 6000 are
RoHS-compliant and incorporate the latest technology to provide even higher
performance and greater convenience. Several Viper II Series 6000 module sets
are already available for the transport of SDI and HD/SDI. They range from
single HD/SDI transport to multichannel transceivers and AES digital audio
multiplexing. Modules feature a BNC video monitoring port on the front panel,
and certain modules offer loop-through inputs, multiple video outputs,
distribution amplifier expansion options, selectable signal reclocking, and
integrated status and optical power metering.
