American Airlines Center Chooses Daktronics for High Definition Video Display
Story Highlights
American
Airlines
Center chose Daktronics Inc. to provide a new high
definition (HD) ProStar video display at their popular multi-use facility in
Dallas,
Texas.
The state-of-the-art ProStar HD video display measures approximately 28 feet 6
inches high by 51 feet wide, is installed adjacent to the
AT&T
Plaza at
American
Airlines
Center,
and is used to attract, entertain and inform visitors of upcoming events. The
display is one of only a handful of true high definition (HD), light emitting diode
(LED) video boards in the world. Installation was completed earlier this year.
“The
new exterior video board is generating a lot of excitement, broadcasting our
events to the newly energized plaza located at one of our busiest entrances to
the American Airlines Center,” said Brad Mayne, President and CEO of
American Airlines Center. “We’ve had great success with the Daktronics
products we have used in our first six years of operation. With the new construction
of retail, restaurant, hotel and office buildings surrounding our plaza, we
needed something to draw crowds and promote our product to the market. This
board is another addition to our high quality offerings here at the
American
Airlines
Center.”
The new outdoor display at
American
Airlines
Center has 720 lines of
resolution using full color red, green and blue LEDs, controlled with the
proven Venus controller and V-Link video processor.
