NBA Playoffs Coverage Drives Network to Ratings Victory

TNT won
the basic-cable primetime-ratings battle in May, propelled by its coverage of
the National Basketball Association playoffs.

Averaging
a 2.1 Nielsen Media Research rating, TNT topped USA Network (1.9), Disney
Channel (1.8) and ESPN (1.2) in primetime. There was a five-way tie for fifth
place, with TBS, Fox News Channel, Cartoon Network, Nick at Nite and Lifetime
Television each posting 1.1 ratings.
