shutouts and shootouts to game-time and overtime, NHL Network remains the
hottest destination for hockey fans as the network unveils its Fall 2007
programming dedicated to the good ol’ hockey game.
Home to
everything hockey, NHL Network will feature live NHL games, its signature daily
highlights show NHL On The Fly, live games from the NCAA and ECHL,
international hockey, vintage and amateur hockey games, along with hockey
news/updates, extended game highlights, player profiles and interviews.
Themed programming and original network productions round out NHL Network’s
24-hour hockey schedule.
NHL
Network’s programming for Fall 2007 is as follows:
Live NHL
Hockey
NHL Network will provide viewers with more than 40 live NHL games during the
2007/08 season, including a ‘Game-of-the-Week’ match-up between
U.S.
rivals. Also returning this upcoming year is the popular Fan Favorite,
giving viewers the opportunity to choose which games they want to watch.
NHL Network’s live NHL schedule next season comes on the heels of the network’s
most aggressive NHL game package in 2006/07 which featured pre-season, regular
season and playoff games with stars such as Sidney Crosby and Alexander
Ovechkin.
NHL On The
Fly and NHL On The Fly: Final
NHL Network’s signature show, NHL On The Fly, will be back on the airwaves in
Fall 2007 every night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET, giving hockey fans live
look-ins to NHL games. Hosted by Dan Pollard, Todd Lewis, Jim Van Horne
and Bill Berg, NHL On The Fly provides up-to-the-minute hockey information and
extended highlights – including overtime shootouts, real-time scores, interviews,
pre- and post-game reports, news conferences and expert analysis from a variety
of NHL veterans, including Gary Green and Dave Reid. NHL On The Fly:
Final also returns with a daily one-hour NHL wrap-up/highlights show from 1
a.m. to 2 a.m. ET directly following NHL On The Fly. The late-night Final
edition is available on-demand outside of
Canada
on the NHL’s website at www.nhl.com and has been broadcast worldwide for the
past 2 seasons through license agreements with Versus (U.S.), NASN (
Europe) and other international NHL rights holders.
NHL On The
Fly will produce original network presentations in celebration of major events
on the 2007/08 NHL calendar, such as the NHL All-Star Game, NHL Trade Deadline
and NHL Entry Draft.
NHL ‘All
Access’ Programming
NHL Network’s ‘All Access’ programming, provided by NHL Productions, returns in
Fall 2007, taking viewers behind the scenes of the NHL with an all-access pass
to exclusive game coverage, player interviews and footage. New
productions include an inside look at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and the Stanley
Cup’s summer travels with members of the 2007 Stanley Cup Championship

Classic
NHL Playoff Series
Packed with punch, these NHL Network exclusive presentations are back for a
fifth season summarizing an entire NHL Stanley Cup Playoff series – up to 7
games – in one 60-minute show. Classic NHL Playoff Series airs
weekdays at 5 p.m. ET.
Top 10
A staple of NHL Network’s broadcast schedule, Top 10 returns for a third
exciting season in the Fall. Each 30-minute episode will count down a
list of 10 NHL milestones or accomplishments, such as Top 10 All-Star
Performances, Top 10 Montreal Canadiens of All Time, and Top 10 NHL Records.
Top 10 airs weekdays at 6 p.m. ET.
Frozen In
Time
Now in its third season, Frozen In Time looks back at some of hockey’s most
memorable on-ice and off-ice moments, such as players facing their former teams
for the first time, Game 7s of the Stanley Cup Final, and 500 goal
scorers. Dates and times TBA.
Relive the
Magic
NHL Network invites viewers to relive some of the greatest games in Stanley Cup
history with the second season of Relive the Magic. Provided by NHL
Productions and hosted by Dan Moriarty, each 2-hour episode includes commentary
from both an NHL star that played in the game and an NHL fan that was in
attendance. Dates and times TBA.
