Web
publishing
Broadband
Video Channels
IPTV

“We
decided to integrate all of our technology offerings using the XOS Network
platform for several main reasons,” said Dave Loos, Athletics Director,
Austin
Peay
State
University.
“One thing that really stood out during our decision-making process was the
unique ‘One-Fan Profile’ that we haven’t seen offered by any other
provider. Now we’re equipped to capture the online interactions of each
and every fan so we can leverage that data for more targeted e-marketing
initiatives.”
According
to Nada Usina, XOS Network president, the main broadband trend within sports
focuses on capturing content in such a way that it can be repurposed for future
use within a broad range of multimedia.
“Digital
video and content management are areas that we specialize in at XOS,” Usina
said. “Our Network business unit began with a heavy emphasis on digital
video, which is something you will find mirrored in all of our other business
units. We’re especially pleased to welcome six new outstanding college
athletics programs and conferences who see the future of fan-facing technology
and the value behind a Web site that serves a much bigger purpose than simply
informational use.”
Fans can
expect sites to launch throughout the summer, with premium features varying on
a school-by-school basis. XOS Network takes the immediate needs and goals
of each partner into consideration before site implementation begins, for a
highly customized and branded result, Usina said.
“It’s not
just about Web publishing anymore,” said Tom Douple, Commissioner, The Summit League.
“If you want to be competitive with your broadband initiatives, your official
Web site must offer exclusive interactive media that will keep site visitors
coming back for more. The Summit League anticipates only the most positive
responses from our fans and alumni, thanks to our partnership with XOS Network.”
