Broadcast Pix Adds Arco Groenenberg and Allan Leon to Sales Team

Broadcast
Pix Inc. announced that video industry veterans Arco Groenenberg and Allan Leon
have been added to the sales team. Groenenberg, based in
San
Francisco,
CA, is now Senior Sales
Manager for the Western region for Broadcast Pix; and Allan Leon is now the
company’s Southeastern Regional Sales Manager, based in

Chapel Hill,
NC.

At a time
when Broadcast Pix is experiencing rapid growth, Groenenberg and Leon were
chosen for their extensive video industry experience and proven sales track
records. Groenenberg and Leon were drawn to Broadcast Pix because they
recognize the company’s potential for growth, the strong reputation of its
flagship Slate digital production switcher line, and the opportunities to
expand the dealer channels and sales across vertical markets.

“My main
goal is to add value through my sales experience and to share the many contacts
I’ve made across the

Americas
with our other regional managers, so we can further expand business for
Broadcast Pix,” said Groenenberg, whose territory includes 13 Western states
plus three Western Canadian provinces.

“I will
also help the company develop an effective ‘channel’ strategy and define and
build a stronger network of channel partners,” Groenenberg added. “With the
help of these dealers, we will bring sales and support closer to our customers
and strengthen our marketing effort.”

Prior to
joining Broadcast Pix, Groenenberg was a proven sales performer as the Sales
Manager for Broadcast – Post and New Media at Avid Technology, in Tewksbury,
MA, where he was responsible for selling the comprehensive Avid product line —
including nonlinear editing, networked IT, graphics workflow, storage and
play-to-air solutions. Prior to that, Groenenberg held a variety of senior
sales positions at Pinnacle from 1994 until its acquisition by Avid.
These included Director of Sales for professional products, General Manager of
business products, and Sales Manager Key Accounts, VARS and systems integrators
for the
Midwest region.

Allan Leon
brings 30 years experience in the professional video business to Broadcast Pix,
serving in a variety of sales and engineering roles. His professional career
began at Consolidated Video Systems, later acquired by Harris Corp., as a
circuit design engineer, where he contributed to the design of the industry’s
first digital time base corrector—a key development that helped usher in the
digital video revolution.

Leon
has since served in a variety of sales positions, both domestic and
international. Most recently, he comes to Broadcast Pix from Creative Media
Products, a manufacturer’s rep firm based in
Chapel Hill.

“With its
Slate product line, Broadcast Pix has the unique ability to appeal to multiple
vertical markets, including television stations, religious worship,
universities, corporations, and government agencies,” said Leon. “My goal is to
help Broadcast Pix market its award-winning product line to the
Southeastern U.S., which is rich with customers that can
benefit from our unique product’s attractive price-performance.”

At
NAB2007, Broadcast Pix won the prestigious Mario Award, given by TV Technology
magazine, for its Slate switcher line.
