Lake County Captains Sign Television Deal with STO
Story Highlights
The Lake County Captains announced that they have reached an
agreement with Classic Teleproductions, Inc. and Sports Time Ohio (STO) to
televise five games from
Classic
Park. STO is a cable
channel owned by the Cleveland Indians and is shown state wide throughout
Ohio. Classic
Teleproductions is an Emmy award winning Production Company based in Twinsburg.
The first broadcast will be on Thursday, June 21st against the Delmarva
Shorebirds. The 7:05 PM contest is the first game of the second half of the
Captains 140-game regular season. STO will follow up that broadcast by airing
the Friday, June 22nd game as well. The other three televised games will be
announced at a later date. The games will be broadcast on tape delay with each
game getting at least two airings on STO. Captain’s radio play by play voice
Craig Deas will be joined by David Bacon as the broadcast team.
“We are thrilled to be teamed up with STO and Classic Teleproductions
in order to bring Captains Baseball into the homes of so many people in
Ohio,” Captains General Manager & Captains TV Network Executive
Producer Kevin Brodzinski said. “STO has become a great sports outlet in a
very short time and we are excited about being added to their growing
programming line up, and we think fans will enjoy our brand of minor league
baseball as these players strive to become future Indians,” Brodzinski
continued.
“With a player like Fausto Carmona and other former Captains players on
the Indians right now, it will be fun to see who could be one of the next
players to advance to the Tribe”, stated David Bacon Vice President of
Sports Programming for Classic Teleproductions.
Tickets for these games, as well as all 35 remaining home games, can be
purchased at the
Classic
Park ticket office, by

7:05 PM game will have plenty of fun and surprises as the Captains hold
“Opening Day, Part 2.” The evening includes discounted tickets as
part of College ID Night, presented by
Lake Erie
College.
The Captains play a split season and Thursday’s game kicks off the second half
of the year where all team’s records start over. The June 22nd 7:05 PM game
will feature the “best baseball post game fireworks show in
Northeast Ohio.”
