originally selected Kintera for the sophisticated functionality and flexibility
which will drive Notre Dame’s success and thought leadership in engaging alumni
online. In addition, Kintera’s state-of-the-art data security measures, such as
PCI and SAS 70 Type II compliance, are vital when creating a system that is as
secure as it is functional,” said Chuck Lennon, executive director of the Notre
Dame Alumni Association. “Notre Dame also benefits from instant access to new
and updated alumni data by developing data integration with the University’s
SunGard Banner and Advance databases.”
also has enhanced the online alumni experience by offering graduates e-mail
forwarding, a Notre Dame football ticket consignment service and the ability
for donors to view their recent giving. The University is also using Kintera’s
virtual account technology to provide customizable data access rights and
privileges for the 2,000 data segments in its database. For example, the
president of a geographically-based Notre Dame club can access and manage
alumni data for that specific club, as well as manage communications and the
local club Web site.
Dame is a key example of how universities can use the Kintera Sphere platform
to leverage social networking and online stewardship to enrich the alumni
experience. In addition, Kintera’s flexibility can scale to meet the needs of
one of the world’s largest, most prestigious and complex alumni networks,” said
Richard N. LaBarbera, Kintera CEO. “The security afforded by Kintera’s
infrastructure and controls also provides peace of mind that the personal data
and giving information of Notre Dame’s 120,000 graduates is protected against
easy-to-use and cost-effective content management, communications and online
directory tools that drive lifetime alumni engagement, foster online social
networking and relationship development, and create compelling and convenient
opportunities for communication with and among alumni. Kintera’s integrated CRM
features ensure the institution’s message is relevant, timely and personalized.
