New England Surge & WWFX 100FM The Pike Announce Broadcast Affiliation

100FM The Pike will be the new broadcast affiliation of the Surge and look
forward to broadcasting Saturday July 7’s, playoff game. 100FM The Pike is part
of the cluster radio stations of Citadel Worcester that also includes 104.5
WXLO, and Oldies 98.9 WORC. Bonnie Gomes, General Manager of Citadel Broadcasting
Worcester states, “We at Citadel Broadcasting Worcester are extremely pleased
to be the broadcast affiliation of the fabulous New England Surge. We are
honored to play such an important role in making history, by being the on-air
partner to this successful team. We plan to work closely with the team and
their management, to add even more excitement to the growth in Downtown
Worcester, with innovative events and promotions.”
The games will be
broadcasted from 100FM The Pike commencing with Saturday’s playoff game.
Planned strategy by both the Surge and Citadel Worcester management is to co
host innovative events and promotions that will add even more excitement to
professional indoor football.

The Surge
will be facing # 3 Lehigh Valley OutLawz who they beat in two previous games,
the first on May 12 at home with a winning score of 53 X23 and the second game
at Lehigh with a score of 70 X42. The winner of the first round Playoff game on
July 7 will be facing the playoff winner of the Atlantic Division on July 14th to
determine the Division Champion. The Division Champs, Atlantic and
Great Lakes respectively, will clash on July 28th at a location
to be determined. Playoff tickets are now on sale.
