PVI CONTINUES PARTNERSHIP WITH MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL INTERNATIONAL FOR VIRTUAL ADVERTISING IN ALL-STAR GAME

PVI Virtual Media Services integrated virtual advertising behind home plate in international broadcasts of the MLB All-Star Game, which was held July 10 at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

The virtually inserted advertisements appeared to international viewers in real time on the backstop behind home plate. Two feeds operated simultaneously, showing different ads depending on the viewer’s geographic location, offering a new revenue-generatingopportunity for Major League Baseball.

“The All-Star Game showcases the best players in Major League Baseball, and PVI’s industry-leading experience and expertise make them a natural partner for our international broadcast,” said Paul Archey, Senior Vice President, International Business Operations, Major League Baseball. “We are pleased to continue our long-term partnership with PVI to deliver quality, purposeful, real-time,

virtual advertising integration. PVI helps to drive brand value and message delivery for our partners in the prime spot behind home plate during our worldwide broadcasts.”

During more than five years of partnership PVI has become an established provider of virtual advertising integration to Major League Baseball, including several All-Star Games and numerous postseason contests. PVI also provided virtual advertising integration during telecasts of the 2006 World Baseball Classic.

“It was exciting to be a part of Major League Baseball International’s All-Star Game team,” said Samuel McCleery, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, PVI Virtual Media Services. “As Major League Baseball’s global popularity surges thanks to the electric play of international superstars, PVI provides a specialized advertising platform and creative new opportunities for the League’s advertising partners to reach these new fans around the world.”
