WCSN.com Delivers Entire FIVB World Tour Season Live and On-Demand

World Championship Sports Network (WCSN) is offering the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) beach volleyball season via its broadband network at www.wcsn.com, available to everyone in the USA and its territories. WCSN.com will have extensive FIVB coverage of every World Tour and Grand Slam event, including free coverage of the 2007 World Championships.

The official season began in May with the season opener in

Shanghai. The following months will be filled with intense rounds of competition highlighted by the SWATCH-FIVB World Championships in Gstaad, Switzerland-fans can watch on WCSN.com at no additional cost. From July 24- 29, more than 100,000 spectators will watch 48 of the world’s top men’s and women’s teams, including two-time U.S. defending champions and fan favorites Misty May Treanor and Kerri Walsh, as they compete for $1 million in prize money. WCSN.com will be there for every kill, block, and dig, offering same-day delay, on-demand coverage online, during the biggest tournament of the year. In addition to the prize money, the event offers the highest qualifying points for the 2008 Olympics, making it the most vital event for athletes vying for a spot in the 24-team Olympic field.

“It is really exciting to be able to showcase the entire FIVB beach volleyball season and give our viewers free access to the impressive process of qualifying for the Olympic Games. We’re thrilled to let fans watch each match and follow their favorite players and pairs around the globe this season,” said WCSN Chairman and CEO Claude Ruibal. “As WCSN continues to expand its coverage to a more broad-based audience, we’re eager to promote to passionate fans that play and associate with these great sports.”

“WCSN.com is delivering important broadband coverage for the FIVB properties in the country where the sport (Volleyball and Beach Volleyball) was born. We’re happy to enable a large

U.S. audience to enjoy our events staged all over the world,” said Angelo Squeo, Beach Volleyball Events Director at the FIVB since 1994. “Volleyball has been rated among the most popular sports in the Olympic Games and our objective is to maintain this momentum and interest through such ambitious and growing broadcasters as WCSN.”

In support of the event, WCSN.com launched the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship Bracket Challenge where volleyball fans can apply their skill and knowledge and pick the winners.
