Chicago 16-inch Softball Hall of Fame unveils New Website

President
of the

Chicago
16” Softball Hall of Fame Gary Thorsen announced the unveiling of the
organization’s new website (http://www.16inchsoftballhof.com.) “We have worked
hard to introduce a site that is graphically exciting with robust content. The
Hall content includes 11 years of honorees. The list includes some of the best
men and women athletes in the sport since the 1920s, when the sport began to
take off in

Chicago.
The voting gets tougher and tougher each year because the competition is so
equal, but these stars of Chicago are important to honor at least virtually
until we find a permanent location where children can come.”

The
beautiful site was organized by co-founder Al Maag and designed and developed
by Spark Design, an agency in

Tempe,

Arizona. The owner and
ex-Chicagoan Vince Adam is a fan and still a player of the game. Maag resides
and works in

Phoenix,
“but that is only one reason Spark was selected; they are the No. 1 medium-size
agency in the area with a focus on web design. Their lead designer, Ken Lowell,
who now is a softball expert, did a great job. We are really in just the first
phase, by introducing a site where fans can nominate, vote, learn more about
the history of the game; and we expect the site will also include more historic
photos and mixed media, including video. The most important aspect was to
create a site in which our honorees would be proud to be seen.”

Co-Founder
Tony Reibel: “As one of the first inductees, I’m so proud and pleased with
this site. It truly represents the honorees in the best light and markets our
game so well. On average, more than 600 people attend the

HOF awards event each January at Hawthorne
Park Race Track to congratulate the winners and network with their past
friends, teammates and competitors. This will truly enhance our marketing and
brand efforts.”

“We expect
to attract advertisers to market their products, brand, and, as well as friends
and family, to just run congratulations ads next to their favorite star,”
Thorsen said. “Every net dollar will be used to create the Chicago 16” Softball
Hall of Fame Museum and Exhibit we expect to build.” For more ad information
