FOX 5 and My9 expand partnership with the New York Giants

WNYW FOX 5 and WWOR My9 have
entered into an exclusive partnership with the New York Giants, announced
Lew Leone, the stations’ Vice President and General Manager and Michael
Stevens, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, New York
Giants. FOX 5 will not only present more regular season Giants games
than any other station in the market due to FOX’s affiliation with the
NFC, but through this agreement FOX 5 will air special reports
and Giants programming leading up to and throughout the 2007 National
Football League season.

In making
the announcement, Leone stated, “We are thrilled to partner with the Giants in
this multi-platform cross marketing opportunity. By working hand in hand,
we will be able to offer sponsors a single resource to expand and enhance their
association with the team.”

Stevens
said “This agreement is a true partnership; a marriage of brands architected to
better serve the 6+ million Giants fans in the New York metropolitan
marketplace while also giving brand partners a truly integrated marketing
program to more effectively connect with the most desirable fan base in the
NFL. Merging our core assets in television and radio, with Giants-themed new
media and promotional programs, will create innovative content and enhanced
access to the team. Giants fans will BE the winners in this partnership.”

FOX 5 will
kick off its coverage with the “Giants Training Camp Report,” beginning Sunday,
August 5th from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (EST). Continuing weekly through
September 2nd, the half-hour series will bring viewers all the latest news
and behind the scenes excitement from training camp through the
preseason.

Once the
season is in full swing, FOX 5 will air “Giants Game Plan” from September 9th
throughout the season on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. (EST) Hosted by Bob
Papa, Carl Banks and Harry Carson, the program will include interviews with
Coach Tom Coughlin, players and legends, a preview and breakdown of the
upcoming game, along with expert analysis and roundtable debates featuring
writers and broadcasters and moderated by Papa and Pat Hanlon.

The
excitement continues on My9, with “Giants Access Blue” beginning Saturday,
September 8th at 10:30-11:00 p.m. (EST) Continuing for 52 consecutive weeks, “Giants
Access Blue” is an all-access pass inside the lifestyles of the Giants players
and coaches. The magazine style program includes interviews on topics
such as personal passions, music, entertainment and pop culture, as well as
exclusive videos and bloopers, showing the team as they have never been seen
before.

In
addition, My9 will air four special broadcasts throughout the football season,
including the highly anticipated New York Giants London documentary special
following the game on FOX 5.

“Good Day
New York” will also incorporate weekly Giants-themed programming
elements. Health-themed short form vignettes will air on both stations.
Online interactive elements will be hosted by the Giants on a co-branded
section of their website.
