XOS Technologies Spans the Globe with Euroleague Basketball Partnership
Story Highlights
XOS
Technologies, Inc., a provider of sports-technology solutions to professional
and collegiate athletic organizations, announced a deal to provide
integrated digital video coaching tools to Euroleague Basketball, the
highest-caliber professional basketball league in Europe.
The 2008
edition of Euroleague Basketball includes teams from
Spain,
Italy,
Greece,
Russia
and
Israel,
to name a few. Also, many former Euroleague players, such as Pau Gasol, Andrea
Bargnani and Manu Ginobili, currently are top players in the NBA.
By
aligning with Euroleague Basketball, which encompasses 24 basketball teams in
13 different countries, XOS will provide the entire league with the XOS
Basketball 2007 digital video editing platform. XOS Basketball 2007 includes
EditStation, CoachesStation, ViewingStation and PlayTools – all combined
to empower Euroleague Basketball teams to acquire, manage and distribute
digital video, game data and play diagrams for game preparation and analysis,
scouting activities, and overall team communications.
“We are
very excited to partner with XOS” said Jordi Bertomeu, CEO of Euroleague
Basketball. “As our league continues its steady growth, we are always
looking for companies who are industry leaders and can help us improve.
Our clubs are central in all of our decision making, and with the use of XOS
Basketball 2007 they will be able to improve their game preparation and
analysis for Euroleague games. We take great pride in being the first
European Professional Sports League to invest in such a product, and as the
most powerful solution available on the market, we believe that XOS will be
able to cater to our needs.”
In
addition, the league office will distribute all game footage to each team using
XOS Video Exchange (XVE). This will enable teams to download entire games
quickly, and complete with statistical data already broken-down and imbedded
into the footage.
“We are
thrilled about our new partnership with Euroleague Basketball,” said Randy
Eccker, XOS executive vice president of business development. “By working
with prominent sports organizations worldwide, the XOS brand and reputation
strengthens. In turn, we provide these teams with an unrivaled technological
experience that helps them succeed operationally. Through this long-term
commitment, Euroleague Basketball will forge ahead on the leading edge of
technology analysis for the next several years. XOS partnerships now include
the top NCAA, NBA and European basketball entities, and we proudly take on the
role as the choice technology leader for basketball coaches worldwide.”
