ABS to stage cutting-edge social networking event

Advanced
Broadcast Solutions (ABS), a systems integration firm, has announced plans to
host a one-of-a-kind networking and product demonstration event next month. It
will be held on August 21 from 3pm to 11pm at Jonas Jensen’s Fremont Studios –
a 50,000 square-foot soundstage production facility located in

Seattle’s

Fremont

Art

District.

“This is
an opportunity for companies to build client relations in a relaxed atmosphere.
Face-to-face relationships are crucial in this business. With this event, we’re
providing the necessary interaction while turning things up a notch and letting
our guests really enjoy themselves at the same time,” said Mark Siegel,
president of Advanced Broadcast Solutions.

More than
1,500 professionals are expected to attend. The guest list is made up of
program directors, news directors, engineers, general managers, producers and
production managers representing all facets of the broadcast, education,
government, corporate video and house of worship video production markets..

The
Fremont Studios has two, large studio areas and a theatre which will house the
attendees, as well as product demonstrations and an HD Screening Room. Within
Studio A, dubbed “The Party Room” for this event, guests will socialize and
dine while being entertained by live music provided by local band “Missing the
Saint.” Lounge-style areas will allow guests to relax while becoming familiar
with new products being displayed by top companies in the industry.

Studio B
will be transformed into “Presentation Central.” In this spacious area, select
industry leaders will make presentations to guests throughout the event. The
presenting partners at the ABS event will be Avid, Evertz, Linear Acoustic,
Omneon, Panasonic, TimeWarner Telecom, and

Grass

Valley.

While the
focus of the event remains on networking and building client relationships, the
presentations promise to be one of the many event highlights. Guests will learn
the latest on production and broadcast workflows, acquiring HD footage, and
creating an automated HD newsroom

A third
area of the Fremont Studios contains a theatre room. It will be transformed
into an HD Theatre on August 21st. The HD Screening room will feature
presentations on 5.1 surround audio technology. The theatre boasts a 16×9
screen and is fully equipped with 5.1 Sound.
