Mike Milbury Joins NHL on TSN as Studio Analyst

NHL player, coach and GM Mike Milbury already has one of the more diverse resum s
in hockey. Now he can add another title. TSN today announced
Milbury is joining the NHL on TSN broadcast team as a studio analyst, marking
his debut as an analyst on Canadian television.

Stanley Cup Playoffs . Milbury makes his TSN debut on September 28 during the NHL
on TSN Fantasy Draft Special.

Hodge. In addition to his work at TSN, Milbury will also work alongside
TSN’s Pierre McGuire this season as a studio analyst for NBC’s coverage of the
NHL, as well as on NESN’s coverage of the Boston Bruins. Milbury’s prior
TV work has included stints as a weekend sports anchor for SportsChannel New
England while he was still playing for the Bruins, and as an ESPN analyst
during the NHL lockout in 1994/95.

the 1986/87 campaign. During his tenure as a player, Milbury, who was the
Bruins’ player rep, spearheaded the first movement against then NHLPA Executive
Director Alan Eagleson, marking the first time a player had questioned
Eagleson’s unethical conduct.

Milbury was named Head Coach of the Bruins in 1989/90 and his squad finished
with the league’s best record, before ultimately losing to

Edmonton in the Stanley Cup final.
Following his time in

Milbury spent 12 seasons with the NY Islanders, where he held three separate
stints as Head Coach and spent 11 years as General Manager. Last season,
Milbury was the Islanders’ Senior Vice-President, before leaving the
organization this past May.
