790 The Ticket to Carry Florida Marlins Radio Broadcasts

announced this evening by Florida Marlins President David Samson on The Dan Le
Batard Show on 790 The Ticket, the Florida Marlins and 790 The Ticket (WAXY)
have agreed to a multi-year contract naming 790 The Ticket the Marlins English
radio flagship station.

are extremely excited to be entering into a partnership with
South
Florida’s preeminent sports radio station,” said P.J.
Loyello, Marlins Senior VP of Communications & Broadcasting. “Finally,
baseball fans will have a place to call home as 790 The Ticket and the Marlins
are committed to providing extensive, creative and entertaining baseball
programming throughout the entire year. We look forward to a long, successful
relationship as we continue to expand our radio network.”
Starting
in 2008, Marlins games will be broadcast in English on Sports Talk 790 The
Ticket, in addition to 15 spring training contests and exclusive Marlins
insider programming.

Major League Baseball to our airwaves and our listeners,” said Howard
Davis, General Manager of Sports Talk 790 The Ticket. “This will bring
another sports franchise to the only 24-hour sports station in
South Florida and we look forward to a very long

790 The
Ticket is the
South Florida market’s only
24-hour sports station. The station boasts original local programs 5:30
a.m.-midnight hosted by some of the most recognizable and respected names in
South Florida sports, including Sid Rosenberg, Dan Le Batard and Stugotz, Jon
“Boog” Sciambi, Jorge Sedano and Kevin Rogers.
