Time Warner Cable Launches NHL Network on Sports Tier

Time
Warner Cable announced it has launched NHL Network on its Digital Sports
and Game Tier on channel 330. Avid sports fans now have the ability to watch
even more hockey games per week. For the month of November, Time Warner Cable
will offer a free preview to all Digital Cable customers.

NHL Network launched in

Canada
in 2001. NHL Network will broadcast 50 live regular-season games (subject to
local blackout restrictions) in addition to classic games, documentaries,
instructional shows, highlights and more.

NHL Network’s signature show NHL On The Fly airs nightly throughout the hockey
season, and features up-to-the minute hockey information, live look-ins,
extended highlights, overtime shootouts, real-time scores, interviews, pre- and
post-game reports and news conferences. This programming will complement other
hockey games which continue to be available on networks such as NBC, HDNet and
Versus.

“We know that many of our customers are avid hockey fans,” said
Eastern Carolina division president Tom Adams. “Some fans
just can’t get enough games, and that’s why we’re particularly pleased to be
able to offer both NHL Network and the NHL’s Center Ice Package. By giving
customers several options, they’re better able to decide on the package that most
closely fits their needs.”
