CBS Sports Announces Executive Promotions

CBS Sports has announced that a team of its veteran executives – Ken Aagaard, Mike Aresco, Harold Bryant, Rob Correa and
Marty Kaye – have been promoted.

themselves in their respective areas within the company and have helped build
CBS Sports into the dominant network sports division that it is today. I

to set the industry standard in every way. ”

Aagaard becomes Executive Vice President, Operations, Engineering and
Production Services after having been Senior Vice President, Operations &
Production Services since 1998. He will continue in his expanded role
overseeing these areas not only in Sports, but also at CBS College Sports
Network. Aagaard expands his efforts into developing new technology and
production enhancements. Since joining CBS Sports as Senior Vice
President, Operations & Production, in 1998, he has been responsible for
overseeing operations, engineering and production management for all field
events and the CBS
Broadcast Center,
including logistics and technical support. At Super Bowl XXXV, Aagaard
was responsible for introducing the critically-acclaimed EyeVision
technology. He also was instrumental in instituting SwingVision, the
Emmy-Award-winning super-slow motion breakdown of golf swings.
Aresco becomes Executive Vice President, Programming after having been Senior
Vice President, Programming, since 2000. Aresco continues his expanded
role, responsible for all college programming at both CBS Sports and CBS
College Sports Network. He also continues to help shape the strategy for
growing CBS College Sports Network. Since joining CBS Sports in 1996,
Aresco was instrumental in CBS’s landmark agreement with the NCAA granting CBS
exclusive rights to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship through
2013. He also played a key role in the Network’s contract extensions with
the SEC and Big Ten Conferences, as well as negotiating multi-year agreements
with Direct TV, ACC basketball, Army-Navy and Notre Dame-Navy football, and the
Sun and Gator Bowls.

Bryant becomes Vice President, Production, assuming the production
responsibilities handled by former Executive Vice President and Executive
Producer, Tony Petitti. He will oversee all creative aspects of
production and editorial content for all sports programming at both CBS Sports
and CBS College Sports Network. A five-time Emmy Award-winner, Bryant joined
CBS Sports as a Feature Producer/Associate Producer in 1997 and was promoted to
coordinating producer in March 1999 where his responsibilities have included
overseeing all production elements of CBS Sports programming.
Correa becomes Executive Vice President, Programming after having been Senior
Vice President since 2000. He continues his expanded role, responsible
for all non-college related programming for CBS Sports, including the NFL,
golf, tennis, auto racing, winter sports and anthology programs, and will work
on new revenue opportunities for CBS Sports. Since joining CBS Sports in
1995, Correa has been instrumental in reaching new multi-year agreements with the
PGA TOUR to extend broadcast rights though 2012, the PGA of America for rights
to the PGA Championship through 2011 and the rights to the U.S. Open Tennis
Championships through 2011.

Kaye becomes Senior Vice President, Finance after having been Vice
President, Finance since 1999. He continues in his expanded role of
overseeing all of the financial aspects of both CBS Sports and CBS College
Sports Network, and will continue to work on the long-term financial strategy
for both areas. Kaye joined the CBS Television Network in 1985 as Senior
Financial Analyst for Operations and Engineering. In 1987 he came to CBS
Sports and was promoted to Vice President, Finance and Administration, in
1999. Since joining CBS Sports, Kaye has been involved in the financial
strategy in negotiations for all CBS Sports properties, including the NFL, the
NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, the PGA TOUR, the U.S. Open
Tennis Championships and the Southeastern Conference football and basketball.
