MIRA Enhances Capabilities of its HD Fleet

MIRA Mobile
Television has
begun an extensive upgrade of its existing HD fleet with significant
enhancements to the routing, conversion, and monitoring gear in
M5HD and M4HD.
“Even though these HD trucks have been on the road less
than four years the investments are necessary to keep pace with both improving
technology and client needs”, says Frank Taylor, General Manager.
Taylor says Mira will expand the HD and SDI routers in M5HD truck as well as add a significant
new layer of conversion capability. In addition, the main production
monitor wall will be changed to all 20-inc LCD displays utilizing the Evertz VIP
multi-viewer system. This will expand the monitor wall to 114
monitors.
M4HD is receiving a
similar HD router expansion along with additional conversion gear. The
truck is also being re-outfitted with new Sony 1450 HD cameras. “We are
less than 30 days away from the launch of MIRA’s newest HD truck, M7HD, but we
see such heavy demand for all our HD trucks as we head into the fall we decided
now is the time to make these enhancements to M4HD and M5HD,” says Taylor.
