TSN2 Racks Up MLB Viewers for Jays/Sox Telecast

Baseball fans flocked to TSN2 last night to see the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Boston Red Sox. According to preliminary overnight data from BBM Nielsen Media Research, 254,000 viewers tuned in to the first game of the highly-anticipated three-game series exclusively on TSN2. Last night’s Jays’ audience is the highest program audience ever recorded for a digital channel in Canada.

In addition to distribution on television service providers across the country, TSN2 officially launched yesterday on Rogers Cable and is currently available on a free preview to Rogers subscribers.

The Blue Jays-Red Sox series continues tonight and tomorrow on TSN2 with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. TSN2 is readily available in the GTA in both standard definition and high definition on Rogers (Channel 1, 501 HD), Bell TV (Channel 401, 851 HD), Shaw Direct (Channel 401, 269 HD), and Cogeco Cable (Channel 156, 729 HD).
