Grass Valley OB Vans Head to Germany’s Bundesliga

Sportcast GmbH—a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Fussball Liga GmbH that produces the basic programming of all matches of Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga in Germany, as well as the DFB-Cup games of Deutscher Fußball Bund—ordered two new OB vans from Grass Valley.

The vans are built on 12-meter Mercedes Benz truck bases, and each will be equipped with six Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite HD cameras and one LDK 8300 HD Live Super SloMo camera. A 3 M/E Kayenne XL Video Mixer package including the recently introduced Kayenne XL control panel will provide the main production control, with another 2 M/E Kayenne XL Panel to allow simultaneous secondary production control.

Infrastructure in the trucks relies on a Grass Valley Trinix router with the capacity for up to 256 inputs and outputs and on Grass Valley GeckoFlex modular products.
