RTS & Telex Intercom Systems Go Nuclear

RTS & Telex Intercom Systems held its eighth annual Nuclear Outage Communications Workshop at the specialized training academy inside its Twin Cities headquarters, using the two-day workshop to guide attendees through all aspects of intercom configuration and usage.

The company says the workshop covers everything from maintaining wireless fidelity and setting up beltpack users to linking a digital matrix system to the plant’s IP network and managing it via AZedit control software.

“This was our highest attendance ever,” RTS Intercom Systems regional sales manager Britt Bowers, one of the workshop’s presenters, said in a prepared statement. “We had approximately 30 nuclear plants represented, in addition to contract suppliers. Attendees take away knowledge [of the intercom system] and application capabilities that help them to coordinate operations in their plants more simply, creating a safer working environment.”
