Bulk of ABC’s NASCAR Coverage Shifts to ESPN

ESPN will televise 14 NASCAR Sprint Cup races in 2010, while ABC will broadcast only three primetime Saturday races, according to Multichannel News. Over the past three seasons, ESPN has aired six races and ABC has taken the bulk of the networks’ NASCAR package with 11 races.

Included in ESPN’s share of the coverage are nine of the 10 season-ending “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup” races. ESPN’s first race of the season will be the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 25.
