Vancouver 2010: Denon Has Olympic-Sized Role with NBC at Games

Denon Electronics has been selected to provide audio quality control products to NBC Universal during NBC’s coverage of the Vancouver Winter Games from Vancouver, February 12-28.  The announcement was made today by Bob Dixon, Director of Sound Design & Communications, NBC Sports.

This marks the sixth straight Games in which NBC has relied on Denon products to assist with its coverage efforts. “Since Sydney 2000, having Denon in the control room as we produce the broadcast of the Games has become an NBC tradition,” says Dixon. “Audio quality control is a very important part of our coverage, and we know we can rely of Denon components to help us ensure the very best performance at all times.”

For the Vancouver Games, Denon has provided NBC with one of its acclaimed flagship AVR-5308CI audio/video receivers for use in the Executive Board Room. In addition, NBC is installing two Denon AVR-3310CI receivers, 2 DBP-4010UDCI Universal Blu-ray players and three DBP-1610 Blu-ray/ DVD/ CD players in other meeting and work areas for use by NBC personnel.  This is the 6th consecutive Olympics in which Denon has assisted NBC by supplying A/V receivers and Blu-ray Disc/ DVD players for use in post-production monitoring of the Dolby Digital soundtracks produced at the events.
