Setanta Sports USA, Fox Soccer Plus Begin Transition

The death of Setanta Sports USA and birth of Fox Soccer Plus has officially begun, as ads have begun to air on Setanta informing viewers that coverage of top soccer leagues, including the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League, will shift to Fox Soccer Plus as of March 1.

Multichannel News also reports that a crawl has been running during games on the soon-to-be-extinct Setanta Sports USA, which points viewers toward Fox Soccer Plus.

Setanta released a statement last week to announce that it will cease operations in the US and Carribean on Feb. 28 and indicated that it would transfer soccer and rugby rights to Fox.
