Fox, ESPN to Bid on 2014, 2016 Olympics

Fox and ESPN plan to bid for the U.S. rights to the 2014 and 2016 Olympics, despite NBC’s announcement that the network will lose money on this year’s Vancouver Games. CBS and Time Warner are also considering a joint bid for the 2014 and 2016 Games, according to Bloomberg.

The International Olympic Committee intended to begin the bidding process soon after the Vancouver Games, but has instead decided to delay the bidding until the ad market improves.
