Grass Valley Outfits New HD OB Van for China’s Zhejiang University

Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, one of China’s oldest and most prestigious educational institutions, has built a new OB van, complete with Grass Valley HD production equipment, to support the University’s media research and teaching initiatives. This marks the first HD OB van in China ordered by a university.

The OB van, which was completed in Dec. 2009 and is now in use by students and faculty for teaching and research, features eight Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite HD cameras, a Grass Valley Kayak HD200 switcher, and a Concerto Series HD (32×32) router.

MAN provided the OB van’s chassis and tractor while systems integration was done in China by Beijing Xingguang Group.

Founded in1979, Zhejiang University of Media & Communications is located approximately 112 miles southwest of Shanghai in the city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
